Lessons We Learned From Each "Friends" Cast Member

If you're one of the many who has watched all ten seasons of "Friends", whether by Netflixing or actually watching the episodes live, then you are most definitely familiar with Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay, Monica Geller, Ross Geller, Chandler Bing, and Joey Tribbiani. Throughout the ten seasons, we watched the six New Yorkers learn quite a few life lessons from their Greenwich Village apartment building to Central Park and even to London. Watching them grow from a young, confused group to the people they became by season ten was one of the most heartwarming parts of watching the show. Each cast member's journey on the show taught us some different, but equally important lessons that will always stick with us.

Rachel Green

Rachel came into season 1 as a spoiled girl who never worked a day in her life. She had a lot to figure out with her fair share of struggles and self doubt. However, she was able to get the job of her dreams and find her perfect ending. She taught us all that growing up and facing the real world is a very necessary part of life -- you should never settle for anything less than what you want.

Phoebe Buffay

Phoebe Buffay did not have a typical childhood and that definitely followed her into adulthood. Despite having her differences, she taught us all to never worry about what others think and always do you want. Being herself and loving who she is makes Phoebe the loved character that she is. Most importantly, she stressed to us all that you don't need to have your life together all of the time -- everything will work out in the end.

Monica Geller

Monica taught us the importance of organization and competition. Her strong-willed attitude and confidence in herself was what got her to achieve her goals. When it came to love, she never believed that she would find her perfect fairytale ending, but showed us that sometimes you find it where you least expect it.

Ross Geller

Ross showed us some very important lessons about using intelligence to your power. He taught us that intelligence is a weapon, but it must be used wisely. Along with that, Ross found himself in quite a few tough situations throughout the show. He had to be smart and find a way out of his problems -- sometimes being successful and sometimes not. Ultimately, he taught viewers how to make the best of every bad situation.

Chandler Bing

Chandler's sarcasm is the main thing that kept us laughing throughout every season. Even in tough scenarios, he would always try to get a laugh from someone in order to lighten the mood, showing us the value of enjoying every moment. He also taught us about following your heart and doing the right thing. Marrying Monica was something Chandler never expected, but he knew it was right. He really showed that true love is not always there from the beginning.

Joey Tribbiani

Joey quickly became a fan favorite on Friends because of his innocent ignorance and hilarious spin on various scenarios. He refused to get caught up in pointless issues and always showed a positive outlook on everything. He taught us the importance of accepting yourself for who you are and to love your flaws. In addition, his love for food taught us that sometimes food is the best therapy and you should have no regrets.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
