If you grew up unaware of the movie "13 Going on 30" and its overall existence, I want to formally apologize for your loss. Not only did this movie make us laugh, cry and understand things we had never before thought about, it also teaches every viewer at least one important lesson. Whether you're 13 or 30 watching this movie, everyone can take something from it. Here are 13 lessons "13 Going on 30" effortlessly conveys through its cinematography.

1. Real friends are not embarrassed by you.

Your real friends will claim you. If they don't want to say hi to you in the hallways or on the street, they're not worth your time. Find the people that will go out of their way to make you feel better and spend time with you regardless of the situation.

2. You'll always need your parents.

Sure, there are issues here and there...but that's with everything. Your parents have been through a lot and are probably the best people to give you advice in certain situations.

3. There's never a bad time to dance.

I lied. Maybe in some instances, dancing isn't the best idea. However, it's 99.9% of the time a great choice to go for it! If you don't know how to dance, pretend you have a clue. It sometimes works.

4. Speak your mind.

Why lie about how you feel when you can just tell the truth? It's better to confront people about a problem instead of hiding it. Maybe just be a little more subtle than Jenna...

5. Love is a battlefield.

Sometimes you have to fight for it. Cue the song!

6. You can have fun regardless of how old you are.

Don't let your age stop you from doing something. Stay thriving!

7. We're all dramatic sometimes...

Does she really hate everyone? In that exact moment, possibly.

8. There will always be rude people...don't let them get in your way.

Who wanted to be a part of the "six chicks" anyway?

9. "Sippin on some tea" will always be a mood.

The best way to get out of an awkward situation? Grab a drink...fast.

10. Be yourself.

There's no point in being someone you're not. Dance like no one's watching and don't let anyone change you.

11. Be confident.

Keep your head up. You're incredible and deserve the best. Live your life and don't let anyone or anything stop you!

12. Stay positive.

Your true friends will support you at the end of the day. You got this!

13. Everything works out in the end.

No matter what you're dealing with, everything will work out the way it should. Live in the moment and don't worry too much. If it's meant to be, it will happen.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
