September marks the official start of the new semester. Syllabus week is over. Fall has just begun.

And college is back in action. Leslie Knope knows how to describe just how we are feeling.

1. Reminiscing on summer

You couldn't wait for summer to be over and for school to start. But now that it's finally here, you wish you could go back.

2. Your classes still aren't warming up to your professors

There's always that one class where you're practically begging for someone to just speak up so that the professor will stop randomly calling on people or giving extra work to do.

3. Receiving your first homework assignment

You refuse to accept the fact that your assignments are already piling up and it's only the first week of the semester.

4. You're already sick of the dining hall food

And eating the same three meals almost every day.

5. And they always run out of chocolate chip cookies

You could've sworn they had just put a new tray out...but it's already gone.

6. You end up ordering an asburd amount of food at 2 a.m. anyways

The freshman 15 really isn't a joke...and it doesn't just stop at freshman year either.

7. Forgetting to hand in those online assignments

There goes those 15 points off of your final grade.

8. Doing your laundry for the first time in a month and all the washers and dryers are already taken

Whether it's in the morning, mid-day, or late at night, it seems like everybody is always doing their laundry.

9. Reuniting with your friends from last semester

You really couldn't get through another semester without this.

10. You still haven't memorized your new class schedule yet

You accidentally walk into your Tuesday morning class on a Monday afternoon. Not to mention it's embarrassing when everyone in the class, including the professor, stare at you. Maybe if you try hard enough no one will even noticed you were there....

11. Seeing all the new (and hot) students

You can't help but notice all the new, hot student here this semester. You promised you were going to focus on school this semester and not dating....but resolutions were made to be broken.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
