After reading an article that thought workout leggings and shorts should only be worn to the gym. If you are one of these people, I'd like to politely tell you that you're wrong.
Even though I attended private school my whole life before coming to college, I find nothing wrong with the way people dress for class. Everyone has a different style, a different taste. It shouldn't matter to you if I show up to class in leggings and a sweatshirt. I'm not naked, am I?
I wear leggings because I want to be comfortable. To some, this may indicate that I'm lazy; that I only wear workout clothes because I'm bloated from my period. That is not the case. I wear leggings because they look good and I feel good. It's not lazy because I could have easily worn sweatpants, but I didn't. I'm not trying to pose like I'm about to go workout, but I do have the full range of movement in case you were wondering.
Newsflash: people look good in leggings! When you look good, you feel good. Essentially, putting people down for wearing workout clothes puts down women. If this is the society we live in, one where you are so judgmental that I get dirty looks from you for wearing pants, women are just as oppressed as 60 years ago.
