I am a forward thinker, which this is not always good. I think far too much about the future rather than just being in the present moment. I often think about the legacy that I want to leave and how it compares to the legacy I am leaving through the life I am currently living. As long as it doesn´t consume your life, I think we should think about the legacy we want to be leaving and strive to meet that. Just don’t dwell on it. Today I am going to give you a look into the legacy I want to leave and the legacy that I think I am leaving because of how I am living. I am going to challenge you to do the same thing.

Obviously I want to leave a positive legacy, I want to make a difference in this world and inspire others to do the same thing. I also want to leave a legacy everywhere I go-- one that is remembered before I am dead. Part of that revolves around education. I want the next generation to know that education is important, that it’s not only a right but a privilege to get a quality education that can lead to all the possibilities in the world. I want the kids that I teach to say that they love to learn because of me. That might sound selfish or farfetched but it’s one of my deepest desires. I also want to leave a legacy of kindness. I want to leave the people I encounter happier than before I met them. I got that from Mother Theresa.

I think that if I am honest, I just want to be known as a good person, but don’t we all. When I look at my life and the way I am living currently, I don’t think I am quite leaving the legacy that I want to yet. I still get snappy with people and I am not as kind as I want to be. However, I hope I might be making a positive impact in the education world. Through this season in my life, I am making students realize that education is fun and can really change your life for the better if you take it seriously and allow it to.

I want you to take the time to think about the legacy you want leave and the legacy that you are currently living. If you are not living the life you want take the steps to change it. That is what I am currently doing. I am trying to better myself so I am leaving the footprint on the world that I want to leave instead of a negative foot print. Do the world a favor and think about your legacy and make sure that it’s a positive one. You won’t regret it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
