When the word "beauty" comes to mind, we resort to thinking about the word surrounded by femininity. It is the stereotype we decided to create. Over time, the stereotypes that have been created had a strong influence on society. I am very thankful to live in a very accepting generation. Now, many people are coming out with different trends that could be considered strange, but they aren't. They're a unique way of expression that doesn't fit the unwritten rules of stereotyping. I think that the people who break the stereotypes with great poise are some of the most inspiring people out there.

James Charles is a person that can easily inspire many people. Even though I am a fan and watch his YouTube videos as soon as they are put online, I think that everyone can have something to learn from him.

For most men, it is expected that they follow the stereotype of playing a sport and doing their best in excelling in terms of fitness and athletism. In reality, it is not practical for many boys and men in America. James decided to break the stereotype of the male population at a young age and had confidence in what he was doing: makeup.

I know that for most people, breaking a strict stereotype to pursue something as out-of-the-box as James is doing is a scary thought. I have nothing but respect for the way James decided to persevere through outside negativity to do what he is passionate about.

With breaking that stereotype in high school, he was able to take diverse yearbook pictures that blew up on social media overnight. His bold picture landed him the opportunity of becoming CoverGirl's first male figure and with that, his platform on social media skyrocketed.

With doing what he loved and his platform in place, he was able to live on his own before he was even 18 and also support himself. I am 17 now and the thought of supporting myself fully, across the country from my parents, is something that is so farfetched I'd deem it as impossible.

Now, he is constantly working hard to make weekly videos on YouTube for his 4 million subscribers which he calls his "sisters". At only 18 years old, to have millions of people following a person's opinion on makeup and how to do it is crazy, and for the makeup mentor to be a male is amazing.

He also makes it very clear to the world that he has a great appreciation for the life he is living. It is pretty obvious that his job has given him a great income. When the amount of money a person has reaches high numbers, it is easy to fall into the pit of arrogance. But James always makes sure to stay humble through it all and show his appreciation for his "sisters" and love for the beauty community.

He is not in it for the money. He is not in it for the fame. He is not in it because it was expected of society for him to do it. He is in it because it is the thing he cares about most.

Overall, James Charles is living proof that with great risk comes great reward. He easily could have stuck to the stereotypes America has had on males. But he didn't. He did what he was passionate about and with it, he is living his best life, with a profession that will make him feel like he doesn't have to work a day in his life, he's just doing what he loves.

He can teach us all that we shouldn't do something because it will make good money or it is expected of us to do it. We should do it because we love it. In the end, life is very short. We should spend our time doing the things we are happy with doing, even if there is a possibility of experiencing outside negativity. It will make us the happiest in the end.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
