I have always struggled to find a good foundation. I wanted something lightweight and oil free, with buildable coverage and the perfect shade for my skin. My criteria made it very difficult for me to find my go-to product. However, the search is over!
My friend recommended me to try the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, and I couldn't be happier that she did. If you're someone like me who doesn't like the feel of heavy foundation, this product is for you.
The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer "blurs imperfections, with a sheer hint of coverage." I am someone who struggles with acne, so my routine starts with priming my face, and covering any redness with concealer. After those two steps, I apply the tinted moisturizer with either a brush or a sponge. I find that the combination of concealer and tinted moisturizer gives me a nice coverage for my acne, without it feeling caked on.
There are two formulas for the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer; The Tinted Moisturizer Natural Skin Perfector, and the Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free. I have tried both formulas, and I didn't notice a difference between them. Since I am someone who struggles with acne, I prefer go for the oil free version; It's just a personal preference.
Another thing I love about this product is that it has SPF! Ever since I started watching Skincare By Hyram, I realized how important SPF is in your everyday routine. The Natural Skin Perfector has SPF 30 with UVA/UVB protection, and the Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free has SPF 20.
This tinted moisturizer is $47, but here's why it's worth it.
One tube of it goes a long way, so you don't have to worry about replacing it often. It also gives your skin the hydration and protection it needs against the sun's harsh rays. You may think the sun is a concern strictly in the summer, but it is extremely important year-round! If you're putting on SPF anyway, why not get some coverage while you're at it?
If you're looking for a makeup product that feels lightweight and has skin benefits, the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is for you. I have been using it for months and I have yet to run into a problem. Like I said, I use the oil free formula, but both options are great!
