Typical Last Semester Senior Things

As seniors enter their last semester at college, there are a lot of things they're thinking about. Some are waiting to hear about graduate school and some are applying to jobs. No matter what they are preparing for, they are freaking out but also counting down to graduation. They're also checking off the list of typical senior things.

Graduation Application Posts

After seniors successfully applied for graduation, they post about it on social media for everyone to see. I mean, did you apply to graduate if it isn't on social media?

Graduation Countdown

Countdowns are the best (and stress inducing) ways to get ready for the big day. The school keeps a countdown but so do the seniors.

Graduation Photos

Every mom in the world wants some photo to put up on the wall for their child's graduation and it's become more and more common to do more than just the typical yearbook style photo. It's also more common to do group photos as well.

Frantically Looking for Jobs and Internships

This is the not so fun part of being a graduating senior. You're constantly worrying about the future and not understanding how you got to this point so quickly. The four years (or more) of college flew by and it feels like you're still a scared freshman. This is normal, change will always be scary and it's still only the beginning of changes.

Posting Memories on Instagram

It's time to get nostalgic! Seniors love to show off their memories, whether it be Instagram or Snapchat, you'll see a ton of memories popping up during the end of their senior year.

Decorate Cap

It wouldn't be graduation without a sea full of decorated caps. It's a way to allow your family to spot you in the crowd but also to show off your creativity side and create a memory.

No matter what stage you are in your steps towards graduation, just remember, you're not alone and you can do anything you dream of.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
