The Master Shift

When we stand back and we gaze upon that which comes to pass, we begin to see it. We begin to become privy to the Truth.

That truth being, the undeniable truth. It is a realization, not something that can be stated in words, it’s a collection of understandings of the true nature of the existence of infinitely many things. Gods were created, religions, idols and all sorts of things to try to get others to understand this truth as the creators of those things understood them.

This is a foolish thing to do, because humans are subjective. I cannot experience your experiences exactly as they occurred. In doing this, we follow illusions, we say “oh I want to understand that.” When truly that understanding is ungraspable.

It’s not like math where it has a physical representation in the world, because it is a subjective understanding that exists within the mind. The mind is the crystallization of reality, meaning that everything in the mind is a perception that can be refined but never fully flow. The mind must be like water to flow with all things, otherwise our understandings are rigid, instead of fluid.

What can we do about all of this? How can we understand something so great, when the most successful in the world pride themselves on understanding so little? The most successful hold on to their egos, they do not let them go, and they exploit countless others. These are the enemies of the Truth and light itself. Yet everything is set up to ensure they continue to exist.

People think that there’s a certain way things go, this is only because that certain way has been created. If necessary, the people can create more ways that are based on a deeper understanding of the nature of existence.

What is this nature of existence? This nature exists within the moment inherently because of existence. In order for something to exist, it must exist in some form. When it comes to the metaphysical there is no right and wrong. There is merely excellence and the lack of it. What does excellence entail? How can the existence of someone offend someone else? People need to understand that we’re all just people, and we have to give our best as much as we can. For the good of not only ourselves, but the entire world.

This is ultimately because the individual and their separation from the rest of the world is merely an illusion, we must come to understand the greater existence that we all share. Should we fail to reach this understanding mankind will meet its end quickly.

This is hard to hold everyone responsible for, because how can you? Honor would be a good way to do it, but much of the honor in the world is dead. And the honorable have little place in this world. The only way to do this is through teaching understanding, all other modes will fail so much in that they already have failed. What we seek is before us, we need only to open our eyes to see it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
