I never thought that Kesha and Macklemore were the collaboration that I needed, but they truly are #friendshipgoals.
The show started with Macklemore's band rushing the stage with their instruments in hand while they were jumping up and down. Macklemore then ran on stage with a stuffed animal shaped like a snake while that he told us he won earlier that day by the amusement store next door. He addressed the crowd and said the only thing that he wanted was for everyone to get weird and trust me it was an amazingly weird show.
When it was Kesha's turn to come out she burst out of a spaceship and sang her new jams and her old smash hits to the audience's delight. Everyone was screaming their heads off and having the time of their lives. She even got emotional herself while she was singing her first encore song "Praying" and the audience was right along with her.
Both Kesha and Macklemore strive for inclusivity and acceptance and preach love as well as tolerance. This show was all about fun and being unapologetically yourself. Both Kesha and Macklemore have openly overcome incredibly hard times and want people to know that they too can get better and turn things around. Their mix of fun and upbeat and also powerful ballads had the crowd enthralled. We sang, we danced, we cried, we laughed. And everyone had such an amazing and glittery time.
As someone who has loved Kesha since 2009, I can say that this was the best and most fun concert that I have ever been to and that seeing Kesha was such a dream come true. I'm so happy and proud that Kesha is getting her chance to tour again and I'm honored to have been there to see it.
The show was everything that I wanted and more. Everyone had such a good time and you could tell that both Kesha and Macklemore wanted nothing more than to be on the stage.
