The 55 year-old designer broke thousands of hearts on the morning of June 5th after being pronounced dead in an attempted suicide.

Kate Spade has changed the world of fashion since the start of her line in 1993. Owning a Kate Spade handbag emits a sense of professionalism and status; with her simple yet sophisticated designs and rather expensive prices.

To many, this came as a surprise. Such a successful woman taking her own life. How could this be?

According to numerous sources, Spade underwent a series of events leading up to her taking her own life. Her sister, Reta Saffo, told CBS News that Spade had been suffering from bipolar disorder.

She had apparently been suffering with mental illness for years. According to Daily Mail, Saffo noted that she had noticed signs of mental illness throughout Spade's younger years, "but the pressure of running her own brand meant her sister began to crack."

Other sources lead into a troubled marriage life. According to Page Six, Spade and her husband, Andrew, had been struggling through their marriage. He allegedly moved out of their apartment recently, and into another nearby apartment according to TMZ.

The lingering conspiracies of beloved Kate Spade's mysterious death will continue to loom. This goes to show simply that you truly never know what is going on in someone's life: someone so glamorous and put-together could be so dark on the inside.

Personally, the most disturbing part of this all is just how Spade went about her death.

She used a red, Kate Spade designed scarf.

Clearly, Spade meant to send a message in the way she went about this. The scarf symbolizes that the one thing that can make her so strong-her fashion line- can also make her incredibly weak.

Now, I do not know for sure what the reasoning was for Spade's suicide. I am just trying to uncover the messages left within her death as a huge fan of Kate Spade.

No matter what may have caused this tragedy, me and the rest of the Kate Spade loving girls wish nothing but love and peace and her family, and that Kate Spade rests in peace.

Unfortunately, Spade did not follow her own words of wisdom.
