Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted together again on Friday November 20 after almost a year of being apart. The on again/off again couple were seen by fans at the Montage Beverley Hills Hotel. Although Justin and Selena have had their fair share of break ups and make ups, the two can’t seem to stay away from each other for too long. A fan posted a video of Bieber serenading Gomez with an absolutely adorable version of “My Girl” by The Temptations.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted together again on Friday November 20 after almost a year of being apart. The on again/off again couple were seen by fans at the Montage Beverley Hills Hotel. Although Justin and Selena have had their fair share of break ups and make ups, the two can’t seem to stay away from each other for too long. A fan posted a video of Bieber serenading Gomez with an absolutely adorable version of “My Girl” by The Temptations.
Bieber, 21 and Gomez, 23 first started dating in late 2010 according to E! News.
In February 2011, Bieber and Gomez made their very first official public appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars party.
A month later, Selena made an appearance on Ellen where she officially admitted that her and Justin were more than just friends.
In September 2011, Justin rented out the Staples Center for just him and Selena and they had a romantic dinner while watching "Titanic" on a huge screen.
Jelena seemed to be going strong until a little over a year later when they suddenly broke up for the first time in November 2012. Sources claimed that their busy schedules and lack of privacy were the main causes of their break up.
In December 2012, Justin and Selena went on vacation in Mexico so everyone assumed that they were back together, but they reportedly broke up while on that vacation.
After December 2012, their relationship status has been a bit hazy. Bad boy Justin made his appearance and Selena seemed to be out of the picture for a while. While Justin was off being late to his own concerts and peeing in buckets in the kitchen of restaurants, Selena was dealing with her own set of personal issues. She recently did an interview with Ellen where she opened up about her battle with lupus.
At that point I think it’s fair to say that most of us assumed that Jelena was over, but in April 2013 Justin posted a picture of him and Selena on Instagram, which caused the rumors that the two were back together to resurface.
It is now November 2015 and the two young superstars still have the same on again/off again relationship that they’ve been having for years. However, they clearly are not on bad terms at the moment considering the latest interaction between them. I mean, I would assume that they are “on again” after watching that video of Justin serenading Selena to “My Girl,” but even if they’re not, the two have nothing but respect for one another.
In recent interviews found in PopSugar, both have spoken highly of one another. Earlier this year Justin did an interview with Complex magazine where he talked about his serious relationship with Selena. “I moved in with my girlfriend when I was 18. Started my own life with her. It was a marriage kind of thing. Living with a girl, it was just too much at that age. But we were so in love. Nothing else mattered.”
Selena has mentioned in multiple interviews over the past year that she “still has much love and respect for Justin and will continue to support him and his career.”
I don’t know about you guys, but as a Jelena shipper myself I hope that this latest news means that they are back together. I can’t keep up with these two and their tumultuous relationship but I guess that’s what makes following them so exciting. You just never know what’s going to happen next!
