Life is full of decisions. We have to decide who we are going to marry, where we are going to live, and what we are going to do for a living. Although God already has all of these things written out for us, we are the ones that have to develop wisdom and faith while following Him to reach the destiny that He has prepared for us. So, there are always two choices you have when making a decision; you can choose to either keep your circumstances the same (whether you're happy or not), or you can jump.
What I mean by "jump" is not being afraid to make a decision that is going to change things either very minimally or drastically. It should not come as an easy decision if and when you choose to make a drastic jump because you are in fact taking a risk. The rewards of following God will far surpass the rewards of following yourself. You may not know what is always best, which is why it is essential that you pay close attention to what God is leading you to do. Do not doubt Him... even if you feel as if He is leading you to make a jump. Having the courage to take that leap of faith will bring rewards that are incomprehensible to those that try to ignore the signs of God. Don't be stuck on the edge of your cliff forever just because you know there are sharp rocks of failure waiting for you at the bottom. Make that jump, pull your parachute of faith, and enjoy your sail through God's plan as you safely land on His promise.
This has been weighing very heavily on my mind lately. I have never been a jumper, but I am a strong believer in Christ. Being almost 21 years old and looking back on decisions that I have made, there have been multiple instances where I wish I would have "jumped." Although I can't do anything about the majority of those decisions, I have made a promise to myself that from now on I am going to jump. I am going to be fearless in my faith by not allowing myself to get in the way. If the time comes to make a decision, whatever it may be, I will be unwavering in my faith because I trust that God will deliver me to what He has planned. I want His plan, not mine.
I want us all to become fearless of jumping into the unknown because we simply trust the plan of our God. God's promise is your parachute. If He leads you to jump and take a leap of faith, don't fear that your parachute may not open. Even though it may take some time for it to open, God will deliver you. You are of His upmost importance and we can never forget that. He will be with you wherever you go, but go in the path that He is directing you to. He knows what is best for you even if you are afraid of flying.
When you lay your head down at night, you should not have any feelings of regret or thoughts of "what if." Join me in this pledge to no longer be gripped by the fear of jumping. Close your eyes, grit your teeth, or hold your breath if that is what you have to do to get yourself to jump, but never look back after the fact and wish you would have taken that leap of faith. Simply let yourself fall. Pray long and hard about everything in your life, including any decisions that you have to make. God will lead you to the answer and if it is not what you expected it to be, do not fight it. He knows what is best.

Here's to me as I take my leap of faith to chase my storm and not be fearful of the rain and gloomy days along the way. Writing this has helped me tremendously and I hope reading it has helped you as well. Please take time to watch this video of Steve Harvey as he perfectly articulates everything I am trying to get across. To the friend that introduced this video to me in the exact moment when I needed it the most, I want to dedicate this article to you.
