J.R.R. Tolkien is quite possible the greatest author of all time for writing "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, in addition to "The Hobbit." Each book is approximately 300 pages long, which is a pretty big time commitment to read. The movies, though fantastic, are also quite long. "The Hobbit" was split into three movies, bringing us to six movies, with the inclusion of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Adding together the run-time of each movie creates a grand total of 1,032 minutes. And did I mention there's extended versions of each and every movie? Although I am a die-hard fan and have both read the books and seen the movies numerous times, I understand that isn't for everyone. However, no one should be deprived of Tolkien's writing ingenuity, so here is a compilation of some of the best quotes ever composed:
1. "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future." - "The Fellowship of the Ring"
2. "Darkness must pass, a new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer." - "The Two Towers"
