As if his first debut as a horror film director wasn't enough of a success, Jordan Peele, an American actor and filmmaker, released "Us" 2 weeks ago. Peele's first big debut, "Get Out", was a huge success, winning an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. This movie wowed its audience and let us into the creative and a bit insidious (in a good way) mind of Jordan Peele.

Two Fridays ago, I was enjoying my last day in Florida by visiting Disney Springs. It was a beautiful day out and I was SO happy to be able to grasp onto what was left of my warm vacation from the cold wind up north. I passed by a huge dine-in AMC and had to hold myself back from going in. I had to remind myself that even though my two favorite things, food and movies, were right in front of me, it would be a crime to waste my last beautiful day.

That reminder faded pretty quick as I remembered "Us" was released that same day. I dragged my boyfriend through the doors and he, being a good boyfriend, had no complaints. We bought our tickets, ordered our large milkshake and appetizers, and sat down impatiently waiting for the movie to start.

As the movie came to a conclusion, my boyfriend and I looked at each other and had no words. Literally, we had no words it was that good. We got up and walked out of the theatre into the bright sunlight and honestly forgot we just spent a beautiful day in the dark eating pretzels.

For the rest of the day, all we could talk about was how amazing the movie was. Not kidding. We didn't stop talking about it for the rest of the trip and we still are now.

This movie was less of a "jump scare" movie and more of a psychological thriller that really spooks you. The actors Peele found to play the parts did a phenomenal job and accurately portrayed a creepy storyline that only Peele could pull off.

If you're looking for a new movie to be obsessed with, like I am, "Us" is definitely for you.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
