The Jonas Brothers Are Back, And So Is My 10-Year-Old Self

A few weeks ago, I was walking from my English class to lunch, scrolling through Instagram, as most college students do. I felt like I was seeing the same old posts from my favorite celebrities and friends. You know, pictures of celebrities at galas, friends getting together after a long time, etc.

As I was scrolling, a picture of Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas showed up. At first, I didn't think much of it and continued scrolling. Then I realized that it was Nick, Kevin, and Joe standing together, announcing the reunion of the Jonas Brothers. I stopped walking and let out a little scream. Sirens were going off in my mind, and I started feeling like I was back in middle school again. Throughout the day, my phone blew up with friends texting me about their comeback and their new single that was going to be released.

For all of the people that were in elementary school and middle school during the phase of the Jonas Brothers, "Camp Rock," and the TV show starring Nick, Kevin, and Joe, "Jonas," this is a big deal. Some girls I knew threw parties to celebrate the return of the beloved band. Some even bought a cake that had the words "The Jonas Brothers Are Back Babyyy" frosted on it.

The release of "Sucker" starring the Jonas Brothers along with Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Sophie Turner, and Danielle Jonas filled the hearts of every fan with love. Not only was the boy band that captured the hearts of every middle-school aged child back together, but the band created the song with their wives (or future wife, in the case of Joe) in mind.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra-Jonas got married last year in December. Kevin Jonas and Danielle Jonas have been married for about 10 years, marrying in 2009. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner announced their engagement in October of last year.

It doesn't look like the band is going to stop making music with each other anytime soon either. With the release of their song "Cool" on Friday of last week, it is making fans crave more. Amazon Prime Video announced in March that a Jonas Brothers documentary is set to release, with more information coming soon.

So, my Jonas Brother fans, there's only one question left: Nick or Joe?

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
