On Thursday, June 16 at 7:40PM, author John Green announced that he is working on another novel. John Green has previously written "Looking for Alaska," "An Abundance of Katherines," "Paper Towns" and "The Fault in Our Stars," and he co-wrote "Let It Snow" and "Will Grayson, Will Grayson." The book he mentioned writing would be his seventh book and his fifth written on his own, and based on his past novels, it will definitely be interesting to read.

In Green’s tweet announcing the news, he wrote “Lastly, I am working really hard to finish a new book, and I hope you’ll like it, and thanks for bearing with me these 4+ years since TFIOS.” In his tweet, Green refers to his most recent novel, The Fault in Our Stars, which is a love story that was published in 2012. Green writes young adult novels and is known for writing books that are humorous, heartbreaking and inspiring all at the same time. He has a reputation for making readers laugh, cry and throw their books across the room. With the announcement of this next novel, he has already made many fans excited. As time goes by, I bet all of his many fans will be freaking out about his upcoming novel.

He has not come out with a novel since 2012 because he has been busy helping out with the making of not one, but two of his novels into movies. First, "The Fault in Our Stars" came to theaters in 2014, and then "Paper Towns" came out in 2015. There have been rumors about "Looking for Alaska" being made into a movie as well but so far, John Green has denied them.

Green has not given any information about the subject of the novel or the date on which it will be published. Based on his past works, it seems likely that he is writing another Young Adult novel. However, other authors have been known to shake up the genres in which they have written in the past. For example, after writing the best-selling "Harry Potter" series, author J.K. Rowling then went on to write books for adults such as "The Casual Vacancy." With this in mind, John Green could really be writing this novel for any genre.

Whatever he writes about, though, it is definite that he will still have many readers waiting eagerly to read his novel. John Green has acquired a massive fan base throughout his years of writing, and based on responses to his announcement, fans do not seem as though the subject of the novel would influence whether or not they read it. Instead, people are just excited to hear what he has to say.

A novel takes a long time to write, and by the sound of it, John Green still has a while to go before finishing and publishing his new novel. It would be optimistic to expect it in 2017, but he seems to have some pretty optimistic fans. No matter how long it does take him to write this novel, though, the fans will not be deterred. Green has many eager readers chomping at the bit to get ahold of his next novel.

I, for one, am among them.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
