Thanksgiving break is a college student's saving grace from the exhausting semester. It's a tease for winter break, but necessary to mentally prepare for finals week. Thanksgiving is the time for everyone to get together and express how thankful we are. It's a time for family traditions and catching up with old friends. Here are things a college student will do during break:
1. SLEEP

There's no doubt that Thanksgiving break is essential for a college student to catch up on sleep. It's getting closer to the end of the semester, the coursework is getting harder, and before you know it, you're pulling an all-nighter for a test. There's nothing better than sleeping in your own bed, and having one that's bigger than a twin.
2. Laundry
admit it, you always wait until the last minute to do a load(s) of laundry. Whether you live in a dorm or apartment, let's be honest; it's a pain in the butt. Although your mom might roll her eyes, she would be happy to help you do your laundry.
3. Eating home cooked meals
Eating home cooked meals is the most satisfying thing about Thanksgiving break. Face it, you know there is nothing like a home-cooked meal by your mother, father, or grandparent. Eating at the dining hall can get old really fast. Food coma is about to be happening in full force.
4. Enjoy family time
Whether you went to college close to home or far away, your family is a special part of break. If you go to school far away from home, odds are you probably don't get to go home very often during the semester. Although you're trying to avoid "How's college?", "Why don't you have a significant other yet?", and "What's your major?", Thanksgiving break is a great time to enjoy time spent together and reflect on why you're thankful for each other.
5. Catch up on shows
With finals approaching, school is getting intense. You don't have time to binge-watch your favorite Netflix/Hulu shows while going to school full-time and working part-time. Break gives you a week to catch up on everything you missed.
