One of my biggest pet peeves in the world are drivers who ride in the left hand lane instead of using it as a passing lane, especially when they choose to drive under the speed limit. This then creates a long line of traffic behind them, and everybody gets stuck. The fact that I have to pass someone on the right side of the road is ridiculous. Traffic wouldn't get so backed up if everyone could just drive using the correct rules. Of course, these left lane drivers end up getting tailgated by some idiot who doesn't know the correct amount of space that should be placed between them. The following video depicts the dangers, and idiocy that happens when these two things occur.
Deciding to drive in the left-hand lane when you can clearly get over can be potentially as dangerous as texting and driving. When people choose to make idiotic decisions on the road, they are not only putting their life in danger but the life of others as well. To me personally, I don't think that the extra 10 minutes you save by going at a ridiculous speed of 90 mph is worth your life. I'd rather be late to work than lose my life.
Don't even get me started on how stupid I think people who text and drive are. If something is that important enough to talk about, pick up your phone and call, or pull over and continue your conversation. A text saying "Nothing much, just driving" is not worth your life, or anyone else's. The following video depicts the dangers that come along with this decision.
Do you want the death of someone hanging over your head for the rest of your life? Do you want to be held responsible for a crime that could've been prevented just by getting over in the right lane, or not looking at your phone? A life is so valuable. I think sometimes we take it for granted how valuable it actually is. There are so many small things we can do to make our roads a safer place to be on. We have to take a stand to try and prevent these horrible things from happening. It only takes a second.
