This is just a reminder that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if recent events may have dimmed that light for you.
What keeps this world spinning on its axis is the human connection and the love that can spread from one person to the next.
Not everyone upon this earth seeks to kill or torture. Not everyone wants to fight or argue. Not everyone strives for the worst.
It is the little acts of kindness that remind us that humanity undoubtedly still strives to be good amongst the evil.
Pay more attention to the "good morning" nods as you rush to school in the morning, and the "thank you" smile from the barista as he hands you the cappuccino you ordered before your busy day.
Remember all of the strangers that have held the door for you even though they are in a hurry or the person who has held his/her umbrella over your head as you wait to cross the street in the pouring rain.
Or your neighbor who saw you needed help carrying your heavy bags up the stairs to your apartment and your college classmate who sits with you till the late hours of the night in the library to comfort you during your stressful exam week.
It is these little acts of kindness that we often forget about or do not pay attention to that offer us a silver lining to the daily acts of terror.
If you just open your eyes a little wider, you will see that there are kind hearted people all around you.
Always remember that every act of kindness you give, a positive reaction will be the response.
It will be these acts that keep the world spinning.
