First you had your high school friends, and they are awesome. They stood by you through your awkward phase, questionable cafeteria foods, uncomfortable high school dances, and all those times you liked a 149-week-old Instagram, and at the end of the day, incredibly, they still loved you. And then you have your college friends. They are also awesome. They eat too much popcorn with you, watch "the Bachelor" every week with you, and brave the questionable dining hall food with you. So it doesn't take long before you realize how much you love both of these groups, and then you have an idea…
1. It would be crazy amazing if the two groups could merge into one mega-group.
2. So you tell everyone what's up. Commence the internet stalking.
3. And based off some dang hilarious tweets, they like each other!
Of course they do. You have amazing taste in friends. Go you!
4. So it's time to meet up. Maybe your college friends are from the same town as your high school friends. Maybe your college friends come visit during break, or your high school friends come visit during the school year. Either way, it's about to get freakin' awesome.
Schedule things like good college students who have their lives together do! Yay!
6. And now…after so much anticipation and waiting…the time has come for everyone to merge into the mega-friend-group. Yes.
7. But wait…you're a little nervous, too. What if they hate each other? Or what if they love each other so much that they band together and devise a secret plot to dispose of you in the back country, never to be heard from again????
8. Still. Back to step 6.
You're freakin' pumped.
9. At first it might be awkward. But you, like the savvy young adult you are, are quick to smooth things over.
10. And it's just as you suspected. Awesomeness ensues. Embarrassing stories about you are swapped. Hot celebrities on Instagram are stalked. An outrageous amount of food is eaten, but it's all good.Sure, leaving your fabulous high school friends isn't fun.But you got to meet your college friends, who are not too shabby. And now everyone is friends with each other. You have done it. You have made a mega-group. Your work here is done. Sure, it might have been really hard at first, but in the end it was incredibly rewarding.
