Have you ever wondered why some of your pictures get more likes than others on Instagram? Even when you think you’ve posted a great picture (which is probably all the time in your opinion), it may not get the amount of likes you think it deserves. Here are a few kinds of photos that usually get a lot of likes.
Bright colors.
This is usually where filters come in but if the colors pop in your picture, you’re probably going to attract the eye of someone scrolling through their Instagram feed. Bright colors make pictures look more fun and will probably enhance the beauty of the picture. Black and white photos usually work, but it usually has to be a really special picture where the black and white enhances the meaning. Choose wisely.
Nature shots.
Who doesn’t love an amazing picture of the mountains or the beaches? Nature shots get a bunch of likes because these majestic scenes usually catches people’s attention and takes people’s breath away. These pictures also give a sense of adventure that many people long for.
Accomplishments.
As much as we are a society that constantly judges others, we are a society that also supports each other. Pictures of accomplishments usually receive a lot of likes. It’s like your followers’ way of saying congratulations without actually having to say it, which seems sort of weird when you think about it. College graduation, getting hired for your job, getting engaged or married, etc. are all things that will bring in the likes.
Charity.
Who doesn’t like to be a Mother Theresa? People like acknowledging that you’ve given back to the community and that you’re do good in the world. Whether you’re donating your hair, building houses or working abroad through some charity, you’re gonna see that number of likes rise. Just remember to not do charity specifically for the picture. Do it because you are actually making a difference in the world.
Although these are ways to generate more likes on your Instagram pictures, you should know that everything people post on Instagram is to show the good side of their lives. Just because you didn’t get a lot of likes on your Instagram doesn’t mean you’re a bad person or that it’s just a bad picture. These four types of pictures that usually get a lot of likes are just things I have observed while on Instagram.
