Creative Writing to Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi and Wicked Awesome GOOD Music Republic via Wikipedia

Recently, I've been looking through some of my older, unpublished works and feeling very nostalgic about them. So I've decided to share one this week, as I did last week. This time, I wrote a story to go along with a Kid Cudi album's songs. Here is my "Indicud Story:"

Resurrection of Scott Mescudi - A beam of light transports a body and drops it in the middle of a desert. The body starts to take life and you can visibly see it transforming into a powerful life form.

Unfuckwittable - The life form becomes self-realizing, it senses it has power but does not know what these powers are. It also seems to have amnesia of sorts but a voice tells it "Once you realize you can do anything, you can fly. Nobody can touch you." The life form takes this as a challenge. And though, not knowing who he is or what his mission is in this foreign place, he sets out on an adventure.

Just What I Am - The life form finds its first other human. This man, who calls himself King Chip, explains to him that he is just what God made him, and explains to him the things he needs to get by in this world. He tells the life form that he was once a king himself. He also introduces him to a pretty young woman...

Young Lady - The life form gets his first sense of love. He sees a beautiful young lady and immediately falls for her. He decides to take his newfound companions along with him on his journey.

King Wizard - As he continues his journey, the life form keeps having flashbacks to his past days. He sees multiple lives that he has lived. He remembers being a Kid, and they called him Cudi, he remembers his life on the moon, and finally he remembers his most recent life as the King, King Wizard. But he can't decide which life is the truth.

Immortal - Realizing his powers, he becomes Immortal. He uses his newfound powers to rule over the people. No one can end the reign of King Wizard.

Solo Dolo, Pt. 2 - King Wizard becomes power hungry and overuses his friends. He becomes alone with no help and seems to slip into a deep depression. He lost his friend King Chip and the Young Lady that was his lover.

Girls - The King decides to go out and he sees all of these beautiful girls and he forgets about the Young Lady.

NYC Rage Fest - A continuation of the King’s party days, he seems to slip into a drug-induced dream state…

Red Eye - The spirit/aura that brought him on this journey speaks to him in his vision. It calms him; he now realizes that he must become the Moon Man once again.

Mad Solar - He begins his transformation back into the Moon Man, becoming solar once again.

Beez - The Moon Man realizes that even though he must use his powers for good to complete the journey, those who do not believe will feel the “sting.”

Brothers - The Moon Man is reunited with King Chip and the friends that supported him.

Burn Baby Burn - He begins to regain is power as the ruler. He realizes what he needs to remain a just leader.

Lord of the Sad and Lonely - The Moon Man becomes the leader once again. He becomes the leader he was meant to be and his constituents love and believe in him.

Cold Blooded - The Moon Man reflects on his journey and how he has improved. He points out his best traits to his doubters.

Afterwards - The Moon Man celebrates with his friends and supporters.

Flight of the Moon Man - After the intense night of raging, the Moon Man stumbles out into a desert that seems eerily familiar. We again hear the sounds associated with the beam of light, we see the Moon Man being taken up by the light. His journey is complete.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
