Waking up on the Fourth of July calls for a major celebration, obviously because it's America's birthday! It's a day that we all come together and take pride in the Stars and Stripes and remember to not take for granted that we live in the greatest country in the world. Aside from appreciating the beauty of this country, you can't beat the way we celebrate Independence Day! It's a whole day dedicated to parades, good food, company, and even better drinks. It's an all day fest!

You wake up and the celebration begins with a parade, keep in mind that this might be one of the only days you will be excited to jump out of bed. Then you head out on the lake or hang out with friends and family for the rest of the afternoon, but you can't forget about attending the town picnic where you see all your old friends. It's basically a huge reunion, where everyone gets to come home and reminisce while making new memories.

The Fourth of July is an all day party, and to be honest, we wouldn't want it any other way. A major reason this holiday is one of my favorites is because it is kept so simple. You don't have to worry about gifts or any of that, and it hasn't been taken over by Hallmark yet! All you have to worry about is having a full cooler and bringing food. Other than that you're just spending your time with the people you love. The whole day you are surrounded by the people you love, and that is probably one of the greatest things.

Another reason this may be the best holiday though is because the day's playlist is entirely USA themed. You can't beat classics like Toby Keith's "American Soldier" or "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue," or Aaron Tippins' "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly," or even Miley Cyrus’ "Party in the U.S.A." There is bound to be a song for everyone's taste. Wherever you go, you will hear a song that screams how much we Iove America.

Okay, let's be real here, another great thing about the Fourth is the outfits. Every year you see more and more red, white, and blue shirts that continue to draw in the attention of people. It may be the shirts that look like flags, but the most recent shirts that are catching attention may be the star spangled hammered shirts. Whatever you choose to wear make sure it represents how kick a** our country is!

We can't forget about the fireworks that come with the Fourth. Regardless of age, fireworks never seem to get old. Year after year they seem to get better and better.

One last thing that makes this holds the best is the amount of patriotism that is seen throughout the country. You're proud to be an American and you appreciate all the people who risk their lives every day to protect our freedom. America is a land for opportunity and we can't take that for granted. July 4th is the perfect day to remember how awesome it is to be an American!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
