I Finally Had In-N-Out Burger, And It Was Worth The Wait

This past weekend my family and I went to California to visit my baby brother. Adam attends college at California State University Monterey Bay majoring in Psychology while also being an athlete on the golf team. This weekend was parent's weekend for the golf team so the whole family decided to go because we hadn't seen him in two whole months!

As soon as we touched down at San Jose International Airport on Friday, we got our rental car and was on our way to the baby brother. Even though everyone was super hungry because we hadn't eaten since like two o'clock in the morning we waited to eat at the In-N-Out that was closest to our baby brother. Which by the way is only five exits down from him which I'm totally jelly of!

The family finally makes it to In-N-Out and my mom tells us that the menu is really small. My sister and I didn't really care how small it was because we have been wanting to eat at In-N-Out for a long time. My mom wasn't exaggeration though on how small the menu was. There were only three different burgers to order! So I picked what I figured that my baby brother probably picked and I ordered.

"I would like a double-double meal please and substitute my drink for a chocolate shake!"

Those were the holy grail of words. Let me just tell you that when I saw the tray of food my stomach rumbled. Probably from not eating in a solid 12 hours or maybe because the burger and fries smelled oh so good. My double-double, however, did not disappoint. The burger was so yummy with actual fresh ingredients, like lettuce and a tomato that it made up for not eating for 12 straight hours worth it. The fries where just that mix of crispy and softness that made me eat the whole boat of fries. There was no shame in my game that I just consumed 1,000 calories. It was totally worth it.

So for those who live close to an In-N-Out then be grateful because the food is oh so yummy! I wish that In-N-Out shipped out food that would seriously be awesome!

P.S. If someone that works for In-N-Out sees this article and my idea and does it I better get credit for it! So happy eating folks!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
