Just picture it: sitting somewhere minding your own business. Then, out of nowhere, a yawn comes along. You may say out loud, "I'm tired." Then out of the the blue a middle aged adult says, " You're too young to be tired." I swear my facial expression would state everything I would say back.
It is 2017 people. Last time I checked it is not illegal to state, "I'm tired." How you may live your everyday life has nothing to do with my day. Not saying that mine is more exhausting than yours, but c'mon now, be realistic here. A full-time student or someone who works full time has every right to state their feelings and emotions. If you are a student that does both, I applaud you.
Think about it. If you take 15 credit hours, the majority of professors want you to study at least 2-3 hours each class period. 15 x 3 = 45. 45 hours a week you are expected to study. Let's say you are like me and work 40 hours a week. 45 + 40 = 85. As you add all of these numbers and include extracurricular activities, sleeping, or trying to hang out with your friends you feel like there is not enough time for everything and you may feel like a zombie as soon as you get home.
Rant here. Last time I checked no one walks in my shoes. No one does my assignments or takes my tests. Do you drive to my job and work 8 to 10 hours? Do you study after working a long shift? Oh. No. I didn't think so.
To those who say to us young adults that we are too young to be tired, just keep the comment to yourself. Nowadays we are not afraid to speak our minds, and funny thing is, we can still be respectful while being the most sarcastic individual in the planet. Not trying to put your age out there, but times have changed and the way you grew up is nothing compared to what we go through.
So sweetie, say you are tired to your heart's content. That nap when you get home will be worth it.
