The other day, I was listening to a podcast about the seven deadly sins. For those of you who are unaware of what these are (seriously?), they are the cardinal sins from which all immoralities stem off of. The podcast's guest speaker spoke about how many television shows reference these sins when developing their characters; the show "Gilligan's Island" is a very obvious example.

That being said, I thought about how much fun it'd be to apply these sins to the characters of my favorite shows.

So Behold, The Seven Deadly Sins: Friends Edition.

1. Greed: Rachel Green

Everybody knows how much Rachel loves to shop. If they'd let her, she would probably live in Bloomingdale's. Also her last name is Green, and do you know what else is green? MONEY. And just look at how she tries to eat from Chandler's side of the floor cheesecake. STICK YOUR SIDE RACHEL.

2. Wrath: Monica Geller

Sure, you may say that she doesn't seem like the angry type; that this one is a bit far-fetched. But, I'm sure that if someone placed a drink on her coffee table *without* using a coaster, that person would not exist anymore. MONICA DOESN'T DO WATER RINGS Y'ALL.

3. Pride: Ross Geller

Ross, Ross, Ross. Such a prideful being. He barely ever admits that he's wrong about anything. Remember when he got super jealous of that one guy Mark, and then got into this huge fight with Rachel, and then slept with the girl from the copy place?????? And then he was all like, "WE WERE ON A BREAK." Ross, just admit that you were wrong and move ooooooon.

4. Lust: Phoebe Buffay

Phoebe is such a free being, I just feel like this would definitely be her key sin. Lover of all things; lover in general. Look at how she tries to entice Chandler here. Sure, it was a bluff but she knows what she's doing just LOOK AT HER AND HER BRA.

5. Gluttony: Joey Tribbiani

This one honestly fits the best out of all of them. It almost needs no explanation. We all know that Joey doesn't share food. He eats ALL of it. What's the Joey Special? TWO PIZZAS.

6. Sloth: Chandler Bing

If he isn't at work doing whatever it is that Chandler does because no one is entirely sure, you can sure bet that he is reclining in his recliner or taking a hot bath where he doesn't have to do anything. He doesn't do much. DO MORE CHAN CHAN.

7. Envy: Gunther

If it's dating Rachel, Gunther envies it. If it's friends with Rachel, Gunther envies it. If it's even touching Rachel, Gunther envies it. If it's looking at Rachel, Gunther envies it. Wow Gunther, never realized how green your eyes are, with envy that is. SO FITTING.
