If 'Parks And Recreation' Characters Went To Hogwarts

Haven't we all wondered what Hogwarts house or favorite Parks and Rec characters would be in?

Everyone knows that Leslie Knope loves Harry Potter so what better thing to do than to put on my sorting hat and place the characters from Parks and recreation into the various Hogwarts houses.

Lets begin...

1. Leslie Knope- Gryffindor

Leslie is of course a Gryffindor. She is brave and courageous and full of loyalty. She serves the town of Pawnee without wavering and would never abandon them in a time of need. Leslie has shown many times that by using her chivalrous traits, she can come out the other end as the winner of any battle. Gryffindor's symbol is also a lion, which I believe Leslie would strongly identify with.

2. Ann Perkins - Hufflepuff

Ann is a beautiful, talented, brilliant, powerful muskox and also a Hufflepuff. Ann would be sorted into Hufflepuff for the reason that she is extremely hard working, caring and dedicated and as a nurse how can you not be? Although Hufflepuff isn't the most popular house, I believe Ann would make it very popular very quick due to her friendly personality and need to have control of situations.

3. Ben Wyatt - Ravenclaw

Ben has to be one of the most smartest people at of everyone from Parks and Rec gang (but don't tell Leslie I said that). He is clever and quick witted and loves to gain more knowledge anyway possible. Ben is also a total nerd which I think is a quality wildly accepted in the Ravenclaw house as a norm.

4. April Ludgate - Slytherin

April is ambitious, resourceful and cunning: all attributes every great Slytherin should have. April, like most Slytherins, comes off as cold and mean but deep down you know they are warmhearted people, even if they don't show it.

5. Andy Dwyer - Hufflepuff

Andy is the embodiment of a Hufflepuff. He is loyal, dedicated and hard working. Although he may not have as patience as most Hufflepuffs, he is a great guy whom you can always count on in a pinch.

6. Ron Swanson - Gryffindor

Although Ron could possibly fall into either Slytherin or Gryffindor, I believe he would find his place in Gryffindor. That being because he is exceptionally brave and, as we see throughout the series, extremely adventurous, especially when there are riddles involved. Ron is always there for the gang in one way or another helping out and making sure things are happening.

7. Donna Meagle - Ravenclaw

My selection for Donna may surprise you a bit, I know. However, Ravenclaw is the house who values intelligence, knowledge and wit. Whether that's knowledge on what the Kardashians are up to or knowledge about something a little more serious. Never the less, Ravenclaw is perfect for Donna. Let's be honest; with all her witty quips how could she not be a Ravenclaw?

8. Tom Haverford - Slytherin

Tom is one of the most ambitious people in the show and that's what makes him a perfect fit for Slytherin. He never gives up on his ideas, no matter how they turn out. Tom also comes off as a person who would be a "pure-blood" who would like to stick with other "pure-bloods" in order to seem cool.

9. Chris Traeger - Hufflepuff

Chris is loyal and kind and always sees the sunny side of things. He is very active, stays in great shape and always eats healthy, which may be considered unusual for Hufflepuff's considering their dormitories are located next to the kitchens and their founder was a notorious snackster. Either way Chris fits perfectly in Hufflepuff because of his kind nature and loyal spirit.

10. Jerry/Larry/Terry/Gary Gergich - Hagrid

No one really likes Jerry so he's forced to live by himself as the grounds keeper of Hogwarts. Even though he is the butt of everyone's joke, he is still everyone's best friend.

I myself am a Ravenclaw. How about you?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
