Amherst College
Jackson Avery: His hardcore mom raised him to be determined and never give up, qualities you need to have if you attend this cutthroat college. With a heavy workload and strict professors, it's not a surprise people from Amherst are going to rule the world. Jackson Avery is on the right track to win the Harper Avery (you can’t say its nepotism, cause he rocks).
Bates College
George O’Malley: We all saw George prove his wilderness skills when the boys went on a camping trip in the early seasons, and when his family forced him to kill the turkey on Thanksgiving. George is no stranger to the wilderness so Bates’ adventurous, outdoor living would be perfect for him. His kindness and up for anything attitude would fit in perfectly on the small, liberal campus in Maine.
Bowdoin College
Derek Sheppard: The obvious choice for Bowdoin is Derek Sheppard. Bowdoin is his alma mater and he is seen throughout the show wearing Bowdoin apparel. His good looks and brain would definitely fit in at Bowdoin, and his love of fishing and camping in the woods would be perfect in Maine. BONUS: The campus is so McDreamy.
Colby College
Alex Karev: Karev is an underdog. He flies under the radar just like Colby College. Just like the other NESCAC’s you need to be determined and smart to actually succeed at this school. Karev blew everyone away by becoming one of the best doctors at Seattle grace and touching our heartstrings by becoming a pediatric surgeon.
Connecticut College
April Kepner: The southern bell who could never find her place at Seattle Grace. Conn College would definitely let her thrive with their encouraging campus and student body. Kepner is one of the nicest characters on the show, showing her love and support to all of her friends and patients. Conn College is filled with people like Kepner, nice and caring to the point of annoyingness.
Hamilton College
Addison Forbes Montgomery: Hamilton College is almost as old as Addison’s family. The school has been around since 1793 and is highly selective about the students they let in. Addison’s uptight, wealthy family raised her to fit in perfectly on Hamilton’s Campus. Her Hermes scarves and fur coats can be found all over campus on the coldest days in upstate New York. She is self-motivated and extremely smart, like all the kids accepted to Hamilton College.
Middlebury College
Christina Yang: The cold weather up in Vermont definitely matches up with her ice-cold personality. Middlebury expects excellence just like Christina Yang. She expects nothing less of perfect and will not stop until she gets there. They work hard and play harder up there in Vermont. Yang’s love of drinking and dancing would make her a leading lady on campus.
Trinity College
Meredith Grey: The party girl of her college years. Trinity is a small school located in Hartford, CT best known for their partying. Also known as ‘Camp Trin’ because the students are always looking for a good time. Rain or shine, Trin kids will be looking for a party. Meredith’s love of tequila and dark and twisty personality will fit in on this elite campus. This party girl would thrive on a campus dedicated to alcohol while getting good grades and making it to the top of Seattle Grace and beyond.
Tufts University
Lexie Grey: She technically went to Harvard on the show which means she is a Boston girl. Tufts fits her perfectly located in Massachusetts and close to the city. The school is so difficult to get into that you would need nothing less than Lexie’s photographic memory. By being a school with academics as their top priority Lexie would be at the top of her class applying to Mass General for the most competitive internship program.
Wesleyan University
Arizona Robbins: Her liberal, granola crunchy attitude would thrive on Wesleyan’s Campus. She will not back down for what she believes in and is willing to fight for all of her patients. The students at Wesleyan are extremely involved in current events and get involved with the world around them. Arizona’s wheelie shoes would be praised on campus and she would be known as a trendsetter. Arizona Robbins is definitely the Wesleyan of the NESCAC’s.
Williams College
Preston Burke: He was only a character for the first few seasons but definitely made an impact on our lives. He was one of the best cardiothoracic surgeons and had the skill and determination to get there. His brain landed him the spot for Williams college, filled with brainiacs and students who are going to save the world.
