Yes, it is another "if college majors were..." article.
With Game of Thrones starting back for season 7 (!!!) in just a few days, I figured what better way to get prepared than to see which GoT character you are, based on your college major.
Disclaimer: all of this is speculation. And perhaaaaaps a little biased.
English: Catelyn Stark
Like Catelyn, English majors are analytical and always planning their next move. If it had not been for Catelyn, Robb may not have gotten as far as he did in his quest to be King in the North. Likewise, without English majors we would surely not get very far in the word of modern language and writing.
Business: Petyr Baelish aka Littlefinger
As a business major, I do not pick this out of love for Littlefinger. Business majors are in it to win it; they know that they have to be on top of their game to get competitive internships and to ultimately land a good job. Petyr has lived his whole life plotting his next step, all in the pursuit of power. It is a loose comparison, I promise
Psychology - Varys
Varys and his little birds are always watching people, keeping an eye on their behavior and reporting it back to others when necessary. Psychology majors are interested in learning what truly makes people tick, something that seemingly Varys knows all about.
Nursing: Margaery Tyrell
Nursing majors spend hours studying to end up with a job where they can help people, regardless of how terrible the situation of the patient may be. Margaery spent a great deal of time both in Highgarden and King's Landing focusing on the poor and the sick (we can just pretend her intentions were good).
Criminal Justice - Jon Snow
Criminal justice majors want to make a difference in their field by putting away the bad guys and fighting for what is right. Likening Jon to these students is a great comparison, to me, because Jon has always stood up for what he believed in and fought for what he thought was right (even if it came back to bite... or stab... him in some cases).
General Studies - Sansa Stark
General studies majors get to explore many different subjects and take a lot of classes to learn all kinds of useful life information. Sansa has been all over the kingdom, and had a lot of experiences - from being groomed to be queen to becoming Lady of Winterfell- and has surely picked up a lot of information along the way.
