Ever imagined what would all our beloved characters from Harry Potter would be doing if they were muggles like us? In the normal realm, all the characters would be going to regular colleges instead of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Based on the traits of their personalities as portrayed by J.K. Rowling, here is the list of college majors that would be fit the characters.

1. Harry Potter: Political science, criminal justice, law-related majors, sports

As everyone knows, Harry was born to be a leader and a hero who saves the world from the evil. Harry's significant traits that stand out throughout the series him being brave and courageous. Throughout the series, Harry has to make decisions and he knows what is right and what is wrong (for the most part). Harry becomes an auror in the end of series, which is the highest level of law enforcement.

2. Hermione Granger: Math, any science, pre-med, any research field

She is smart, studious, and hardworking. Granger's character is a know-it-all overachiever who can be annoying to the other classmates. She knows all the spells that are there to know which shows that she has a very strong memorization ability. She would be a perfect pre-med, biology, or really any science-related majors. Furthermore, she portrays immense skills in researching information from the library throughout the series which indicates that research is her thing.

3. Ronald Weasley: Marketing

Ron shows loyalty towards his friends and empathy throughout the series. Ron is trying to find who he is. His character develops through time as he matures towards the end. He is no longer just a sidekick, and he takes on leadership towards the end as he leads the trio to find Horcruxes. He is very good at chess that shows that he has a good strategic mind. I think he can do well in the business field.

4. Draco Malfoy: Business, chemistry, pharmacy

Draco has the ability to show no compassion and empathy. He gets good at advanced potions in the sixth book. He is competitive, cunning and smart. Draco would be a good fit for business-related majors where he could possibly become a good CEO. Also, he has a good understanding of chemistry as seen in potions class.

5. Ginny Weasley: Journalism, sports management

Ginny was also a quidditch player, and later on, she becomes the head Quidditch correspondent for the Daily Prophet. She possesses good leadership qualities, all of which make her responsible enough to be the head of journalism.

6. Neville Longbottom: Horticulture, plant science

Neville is a gifted student at herbology, which in the muggle world is mostly associated with horticulture or plant science. In the end, Neville becomes the professor of herbology, so it makes that in the muggle world he would definitely fit right in.

7. Luna Lovegood: Zoology, animal science, any creative or design major, natural history

In the series, Luna becomes a magizoologist (a wizarding naturalist) and takes care of the magical creatures. She also has a knack at artistic abilities where she creates a lion-shaped hat that roars and a flapping eagle hat. In muggle college majors, she would be great at design or something related to animals.

8. Fred Weasley and George Weasley: Business

Though they are not traditionally academic, the twins ARE clever. Both of them have an energetic personality, and they know how to talk to people. They were businessmen from the beginning when they started their own joke shop called as "Weasely & Weasely."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
