It's pretty common (and annoying) to come up with a list of all the fun things you could be doing during the school year (especially during finals week), and then happen to forget all of them when summer rolls around. Well, not this summer! Here's a list of all the fun or productive things you can do this summer.

1. Meet up with old friends

When college gets in between meeting up with your friends and talking to them on a daily basis like you used to, let summer be your opportunity to reunite! Actually doall the fun things that you dreamed of doing together while trying pretending to study.

2. Go to the beach

There's nothing that makes you feel as free as when you're driving down the highway with the windows down, radio on, and the wind blowing through your hair.

3. Go to the beach with old friends

Get the best of both!

4. Widdle down your reading list

Remember all those books you wanted to read but never had the time to? Now's the time! Get outside and sit under a tree, or chill in a Starbucks (because everything's better with iced coffee).

5. When it's really hot, go to the theatre

This summer is slated to have some of the best releases of the year, so don't miss them! Make it a family event or head out with a couple of friends!

6. Remember water gun fights?

Yup, those were fun.

7. Go to a waterpark

Because water slides are the coolest part of summer.

8. Garden

Not only are gardens beautiful, but the act of gardening itself can very therapeutic. Get your dose of vitamin D and happiness while making your area a bit more beautiful.

9. Be Phineas and Ferb and build stuff

Are you into building things? Channel your inner Phineas and Ferb and build some super awesome stuff.

10. Go to your favorite ice cream place

This one doesn't need an explanation.

11. Clean your room?

Um, maybe. As a last resort.

12. Visit the town or shopping place you've always wanted to go to

Have you been wanting to visit this one specific town, shopping mall, or restaurant? Now's the time! Make it a day trip and have lots of fun trying out new things.

13. Just live

After all of the hard work you put in during the semester, take a few days to just be with yourself and simply relax. After all, recharging and being with yourself is so much more important than we sometimes realize.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
