Michael Jackson: 1958-2009
It's fair to say he might have been the greatest performer and entertainer to ever have walked the earth. With classic hits all throughout the 1980's and 1990's he was the most iconic performer in the music industry. Especially with worldwide best-selling albums such as Thriller, Off The Wall, and, Dangerous on his resume. Not to mention he had a wide array of dance moves that musical artists today still cannot mimic. Arguably the most popular artist around for years and an international sensation, his contribution and innovation brought to the music industry will always be remembered and never forgotten. After all, he was and still is the King of Pop.
Bruce Lee: 1940-1973
The originator and first true master of martial arts, Bruce Lee was a living legend during his prime. He was a true believer and advocate of the Zen philosophy, which made him a wise man and highly intellectual tough guy, especially considering he has a boatload of quotes that people to this day use as words to live by. He made his biggest contribution to the world by westernizing martial arts and bringing the fighting style to Hollywood for first time starring in the film Enter the Dragon. Which was the first martial arts film produced in Hollywood. Although he had an untimely death on the set of his last film, Bruce Lee will forever remain the most idolized martial artist to have set foot on the big screen.
Steve McQueen: 1930-1980
This was and very much still is the man known to be the King of Cool. For some it is just a character trait or an attribute; but for Steve McQueen it was an art and a way of life. Everything he did in his life was done with class and style. Whether it was making films, race car driving, or taking Kung Fu lessons from Chuck Norris, Steve McQueen did it all. He was the master of everything and anything cool and even left his mark on film by changing the way we view car chases in film today. His legendary ten-minute car chase in the film Bullitt was a game-changer, and although he is no longer with us, his cool vibes will always set the tone in what we think of when we hear that very word.
