6 Sonja Morgan Moments 'Real Housewives' Fans Will Never Forget

In This Article:

Sonja Morgan is a chic, savvy, life of the party type of a girl. She lives in the Upper East Side of Manhattan and has been a member of the Real Housewives of New York City for nine seasons. Every season, whether she's discussing business plans for her fashion brand 'Sonja By Sonja Morgan' with her team of in-house college interns, or planning her poodles funeral, Sonja keeps us laughing. She is the self-proclaimed "straw that stirs the drink" and I couldn't have said it better than that. #WWSD (What would Sonja do?)

1. Her entire international fashion lifestyle brand shtick.

Actually, I shouldn't even call it a shtick because she really does have a great brand. Check it out here. But for those of us who have watched Sonja get here, it's been a long time coming. She spent many seasons defending herself as an international fashion lifestyle brand, and finally, the proof is in the pudding (or should I say toaster?) with her line being produced. But her fashion know-how and quick-witted responses when challenged is why she will go down in housewives history.

2. Anytime she is partying, but specifically this Miami group trip.

If you know Sonja Morgan, you know she's the self-proclaimed "straw that stirs the drink." Always the life of the party, Sonja will lighten up any room with her humor, or just by falling face first. Anytime Sonja gets a few cocktails in her, you know it's going to be a good time. Fans will never forget the iconic moment in Miami when she was extremely intoxicated (or as I like to say when I'm in this situation, overserved) and she fell face-first into the table. Whenever she is on a group vacation, it's a guaranteed good time.

3. When she name drops celebrity friends.

Another trait that makes Sonja so Sonja is her ability to turn any conversation and make it about herself and her old amazing life (me af). Leave it to Sonja to never fail to mention a celebrity she has had on her yacht or at her house in France. She is constantly name dropping politicians, royal family members, and other high profile people she used to run around Saint Tropez with. These glimmers of the past let us see into her old life through her stories and are a part of what makes Sonja so fascinating.

4. When she flipped s**t in the Berkshires.

This scene is one of the best Sonja Morgan moments in history. Sonja + a few cocktails + a trip down Morgan memory lane = TV gold. It's no surprise after a visit to an old Morgan family estate that she had a little outburst, as any housewives fan knows Sonja is very much still attached to her ex-husband's family, the Morgans. This night in the Berkshires and Sonja's crazy antics only make Bravo viewers love her even more.

5. The Fiber One commercial.

One moment not seen on the screens of 'RHONY' but still jam-packed with housewife hilarity is the Fiber One commercial featuring Sonja, along with New Jersey housewife Melissa Gorga and Atlanta housewife Porsha Williams. The women sing and dance, arguably better than Sonja's costar Luann does in her cabaret show. Sonja's performance parallels that of a superstar, maybe she got some tips from her close friend Madonna?

6. Anytime her tooth gives her issues.

If you have seen 'Real Housewives of New York City,' then you're probably familiar with Sonja's dental issues. Her tooth is constantly popping out, usually because she is trying to use her teeth to undress a 20-something year old. Anytime her tooth falls out, she just grabs her glue and pops it right back in! She is perpetually making the audience laugh with her dental distress, especially whenever she reassures people around her that she "has veterinarians" that will fix it for her.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
