I Ordered Something Off TikTok And This Was My Experience

My For You page has become my own version of the Home Shopping Network and I'm not even mad about it.

I Ordered Something Off TikTok And This Was My Experience

I have never been someone to order a product off of a social media app. When the Instagram update came out where they replaced the likes tab with a shopping tab, I hated it, and normally whenever I see someone selling a product on my for you page, I scroll. However in November during a routine for you page scroll at about 8 in the morning, a company called Feel Your Soul appeared on my for you page telling their story of how they got started and offering a discount if you texted their number. For some reason, I was really intrigued by their clothing so I texted the number and began looking on their website and instantly fell in love with the Classic Feel Your Soul Hoodie. The discount made it affordable so I made the decision to purchase it and here was my experience.

In the beginning, they said it would be about 4-7 days but by mid-December, I hadn't received anything and hadn't gotten another email so I reached out. The customer team got back to me within a day with such a polite response telling me that they were so sorry for the delay and due to Covid restrictions they were a little delayed but that it should be in before Christmas. When Christmas came and went and I still hadn't received the order or another email, I decided to email them again asking what was going on because at this point it had been over a month since I had ordered it and I had to go back to school soon. They got back to me and said with so many orders and a delayed shipment that they couldn't get people's orders out in time but they were working their hardest to ship them as soon as possible. I asked them to change my address to my apartment in State College and they agreed. Two days later, I got an email that my order had shipped, and then 7 days after that that it had delivered to my apartment.

When I came back to State College after quickly unpacking everything, I opened the box that my hoodie came in to a handwritten note from the owner of the company which I thought was a very nice touch. The hoodie was absolutely perfect and out of the 7 days I've been here, I've worn it about 5 of them. In all, I would give this experience a 7 out of 10, and while I wish they would've emailed me earlier, they were so nice and polite, and the product was high quality. So I'd highly recommend checking out their website for cute hoodies and other clothing items that have kind of a retro feel

If you are looking into ordering something that you see on your TikTok For You page, I think after checking out the website to see if it's legitimate and making sure of their shipping policy that you should definitely go for it. Next time I see a small company like this advertising on my for you page, I will not be so quick to scroll and give them a chance. You never know what you can find and the for you page has some hidden gems.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
