When HQ first came out, I didn't want to jump on the bandwagon and start playing so I didn't download it until a few months ago. On a normal day, there are 12 questions for a prize of $5,000 at 1500 and 2100. On Sundays, the prize is $25,000 for 15 questions. At other times there are bigger or smaller prizes with a greater or fewer number of questions. It all depends on the day.
I'm not very good at trivia so I haven't won yet but I still try. I think the farthest I've gotten before getting out is Q8. I usually last through Q4 but that's when the tricky questions start and I have no idea which answer is correct.
Most of the time I end up second-guessing myself because I think I know the answer but I'm. not completely sure. I guess that's the fun of guessing.
For the past two weeks, I have recorded the questions that led to my elimination from the game, along with my chosen answer and the correct one. Some of them make me feel really dumb because I should've known the right answer but other ones seem really random and I wonder how anyone knew the answer. Sure enough, plenty of people knew the right answers though.
Every once and a while, I stay in to watch the rest of the game and see how far I could've gotten if I hadn't been eliminated. Usually, I still would've gotten at least one more question wrong but occasionally, if I chose the right answer to that one question, I would've won. Funny how that works; one choice can make all the difference.
