How To Write A Top Shared Odyssey Article
Writing A Short Biography

People of Facebook have all probably come across the online platform run by millennials known as "Odyssey." And that is because all the creators from Odyssey are constantly sharing their pieces of work with the hope that their articles will rack up the shares and earn them some fat stacks.

But as all you Odyssey readers and creators have seen these articles spread across your Facebook pages, you have perhaps noticed a trend in the format of Odyssey articles and what they tend to be about. And seeing these articles has either annoyed you or made you happy because of how they relate to you.

And so, if you have recently been hired as an Odyssey content creator, are considering working for Odyssey, or have stumbled upon this article in your Facebook feed, you are in luck! Because these are the steps you must take to write a common Odyssey article.

1. Be a Girl

Now before you guys get on my back saying this is sexist...well, forget it. I can't control my haters. I just gotta say it. The majority of people who read Odyssey are girls which means the articles that will get the most shares are the ones that are written by girls. This is because females know how to appeal to their own gender more than males and people of other genders know how to appeal to females.

2. Write an open letter to someone

What the hell is an open letter? Here is the definition: An overly dramatic letter to a no-name person that somehow is extremely relatable and gets tons of freaking shares.

3. Write about being from a small town

4. Have relationship troubles

5. Write about an issue that really is not relevant to today's society

6. Or get extremely political

7. Be a social justice warrior

8. Write about your college

These articles tend to rack up the most shares.

9. Write about how much you hate Trump

10. Be politically correct

11. Write about that guy you liked that never seemed to notice you (or know you for that matter)

12. Use the list format like this

13. Be relatable to millennials

Middle agers aren't going to be seeing your articles.

14. Go off on a limb about an emotional time in your life

15. Write about vacation spots

16. Write about what you see on social media

17. "Signs you"

I see this article template format incredibly often. "Signs you are addicted to coffee," "Signs you are basic," or "Signs you are a struggling female college student" are the routes to go in order to create a cracking good read that will spread all over the Facebook pages of millennials that will read your articles and appreciate how #relatable they are.

18. DO NOT Write about sports

While Odyssey Content Creators can be considered experts in the field of politics, relationships, and open letters. They cannot be considered experts in the field of sports. Avoid writing about this unless you have nothing else to write about because you will not get any shares from writing about sports.

19. Have friends that immediately share your articles

20. Have friends that post over-the-top messages of praise when they immediately share your articles

21. "Dear..."

Another article template that has the letter-type format

22. Write about your childhood

23. Write any type of short memoir

24. Decide to suddenly become an expert in anything

25. Give Tips to help incoming freshmen college students

26. Decide to become a victim of a certain cause

27. Oppose the status quo

And there you have it. Now that you know how to write an Odyssey article, you can officially become an Odyssey content creator today!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
