As summer is winding down, more and more people are traveling back home. For some, it's a great distance to travel so here is a list of activities to let time fly fast.

1. Watch Movies: If you are traveling internationally, it is more than likely that you find yourself staring at a TV screen that is located in the seat in front of you. Downloading movies and episodes before the flight is also another option to sit back and let the entertainment take you away from reality.

2. Listen to Music: Music is a must-have. Whether if it's cleaning the house or writing a term paper, music is a great asset to have in the background. So mix up your playlist and start jamming on the plane.

3. Read: For all the bookworms out there make sure to bring your favorite or current novel you are reading at the time. It is a great way to pass time. Now for all the ones who are not a big fan of reading, it never hurts to pick up a book. So try it, even if it's the category ad magazine that is placed in the seat pocket in front of you.

4. Have a conversation: Traveling with friends or family is a great way to bond, so put that electronic device down and have those meaningful conversations. If you are traveling alone, don't be afraid to introduce yourself to the people sitting next to you. Who knows maybe, you'll make some amazing friends.

5. Eat: I eat all the time. Whether if I am feeling hungry, tired, or even bored I turn to food. When traveling, the flight will probably serve food. For the ones who are not a big fan of airplane food or not wanting to pay for the overpriced snacks they offer, pack your own favorite foods and savor the moment.

6. Download Games: Some great apps to get are: Solitaire, Tic Tac Toe, and Cooking Dash.

7. Sleep: These days, whose not lacking sleep? Take this time to wind down and catch up on your beauty sleep. It's the best feeling when waking up and realizing how much closer you are to your desired destination.

8. Work: Traveling can get you behind with work. Use this time so you won't feel overwhelm when coming back. BEWARE, DO NOT overwork yourself on the plane. You don't want to be over exhausted along with jet-lagged.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
