11 Ways To Spot A "Type A" From Miles Away

Welcome to the daily life of someone with a Type A personality. The recipe for a typical day includes: the dire need to strive for perfection while boarding of the "struggle bus" when attempting to “take a chill pill,” or, in other words, “be less of a spaz.” These are all things that anyone who identifies with the Type A personality experiences regularly. It’s hard not to spot these qualities, however, I will attempt to put a clear depiction to this recipe for the ultimate try hard, as a self proclaimed Type A myself. I have to poke a little bit of fun at myself for this sometime, right? So, here it goes. Starting with the most obvious images, I present to you, the telltale signs of a Type A coming your way.

1. This person is walking fast.

Type A’s: They know exactly where they are going at all times, who they are going to see, and when they need to be there. It’s all written down in their planner.

2. Speaking of planners… They have fully detailed ones.

And they keep them close at all times. They are their bibles and forgetting things is their biggest fear.

3. They also have another place to store their schedule.

What? Why? Well, some use sticky notes, their phones, or just their heads, but (surprise!) making sure they don’t miss something they need to do is constantly at the top of their list of priorities so the planner isn’t quite enough.

4. Their outfits are on point.

Things don’t just match by default. Not at the level that these people’s outfits do. They put thought into everything so you better bet that there were meticulous decisions made the night before the perfect outfit’s debut.

5. That brings us to an important point about preparation.

These people spend forever working on even the smallest necessities. Every task at hand is equally as important to them and must be given maximum effort.

6. Therefore, they are very busy.

7. And as if being busy doing necessary tasks isn’t good enough, these people tend to overbook themselves with many different obligations in the first place.

And they have to be prepared for everything because there is no time to stop at home.^^^

8. But that’s okay because they will get it all done…somehow.

9. While internally screaming of stress in the

midst of trying to look put together.

10. And chugging along for as long as it takes for their job to get done.

11. But feeling the feels of finishing a task with more joy than anyone else

Because when they finally hit the bed after a long day of schedule balancing acts, they are on top of the entire world.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
