How To Slay New Year's Eve, As Told By DJ Khaled

It's the end of the 2015! This year was definitely chock-full of unforgettable moments and experiences. But now is not the time to look back! It is time to look forward, and plan out the last party of 2015. You need to do you, shine brighter than that bedazzled ball, and go out with a bang. This is your guide to killing it on New Year's Eve, as told by DJ Khaled.

1. Surround yourself with your favorite people.

Finish off 2015 with your best friends. Nothing's better than surrounding yourself with your crew, because this insures that you'll definitely have a great night. These people are here to support you and make sure you have a good time. This is because they want nothing but the best for you. Cute, right? They'll get champagne wasted with you, walk you home at the end of the night, give you that loving, friendly New Year's kiss if you don't manage to find "The One," and help you start off 2016 strong. What else are friends for?

2. Taste the bubbly.

Let's do classy. Champagne on New Year's Eve is a must. This type of alcohol was made for celebrations, and it is key to a great time. If you can, make sure you're the one who opens the champagne, because there's nothing more satisfying than being that person. Nothing. Also, getting drunk off of champagne is fantastic; it's that warm, fuzzy, bubbly kind of drunk. Getting hammered on New Year's is advised, but definitely start off with champagne, because it's the classic move. Cheers!

3. Wear that knockout outfit.

This is pretty obvious, but wear something that you know you look amazing in, and you'll feel amazing. If you're not really feeling up to partying, put on a great outfit anyway. It will put you in the mood. As you probably already know, getting ready for these things is half the fun! Do whatever makes you feel great, and people will notice. If that means lathering yourself in Dove soap, don't hold back.

4. Embrace the spontaneity.

Literally anything can happen on New Year's Eve; it's a well known fact. Everyone feels a little magic in the air. Be a "yes man" tonight. Being open-minded on this night will lead to good things for sure! I'm calling it right now. End your night with something unforgettable. I mean, don't get arrested, but...

5. Be weird.

It's time to get weird. Let it all out, because this is a party. Do not care what anyone else thinks, do not think twice about feeling irrationally embarrassed, because regret is the worst feeling in the world. This night is about you and having the time of your life. You're only young once, right? So you might as well enjoy it without worrying whether hugging strangers or dancing in public is socially acceptable. We don't have time to ponder that nonsense! Life is too short not to throw confetti into people's faces, twerk on the sidewalk, or dive off a yacht (yacht not included).

6. Go for that New Year's kiss.

Do you like that girl, but you're not sure if she likes you back? Want that guy to approach you, but he hasn't yet? Never fear! The countdown is a perfect excuse to meet someone. It's a surefire way to get to know that person you've been eyeing all night, because no one wants to be alone when that ball drops. Go for it! Be confident for five seconds, it could change everything. And if that doesn't work out...

7. Kiss yourself.

Wait... what? Not literally. Just remind yourself that you're amazing and 2016 will be sure to bring great things. And you don't need anyone else to tell you that you're awesome if you believe it yourself. Get rid of the negative energy. Throw that negative energy into the ocean.

I hope that everyone has a great New Year's Eve. Let's start the new year off strong!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
