How to get to heaven is an issue often disagreed on, but the fact that some people don't believe the truth doesn't make it less true. I am here merely to offer you the truth on how to get to heaven. "God loved the world so much that He sacrificed His only Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not die, but live on" (John 3:16) God's Son's name was Jesus, which means "Savior," or "God Saves."
Jesus came to earth only to die for the wrongdoings of others. And even though this perfect and holy Savior, the Messiah of the Jews, never sinned, He died to cleanse the sins of everyone who might put their faith in Him. "Jesus Said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me;" (John 14:6).
When you believe that Jesus was the Messiah, that He died for your sins, and that He desires to know you and have a personal relationship with you, and when you confess your sins and commit your life to Jesus Christ, then you are saved from eternal damnation. "Jesus said to them, 'Whoever believes. Will be saved, whoever does not believe will be condemned'" (Mark 16:16). A pastor once said that with Christ, you can have life, but without Christ, you merely exist. John 20:31c says "and by believing you can have life in His name."
Everyone on the face of this earth has sinned, but just as everyone has sinned, everyone can receive life. "For the cost of sin is death, but God's gift is eternal life in heaven" (Romans 6:23). Only a person's faith in God can save him.
"For it's by grace that you can be saved- through faith, and not of yourselves, but it's a gift from god" (Ephesians 2:8). Even if you have very little faith, as long as you have faith, God will do the rest. "Even if you have faith in God the size of a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20).
God says that you must believe in Him, receive His word, confess your sins, and commit yourself to Christ to be saved. "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved, for it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved" (Romans 10:9-10).
All you have to do to be saved and become a Christian is to simply do what I already said and just pray to God and ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and cleanse your sins.
