How To Earn My Disgust: A Short Story

Avoid eye contact at all costs. If you look her in the eye she may see the insincerity on your face, that is, if she doesn't hear it in your voice already. Ignore the fact that you are not sorry and still believe yourself right since everyone knows that everything you say and do is done for a specific reason. Feign a smile. Show some teeth, but not too many as you don't want to appear as if your statement sounds like a joke to you, even though it does. Tilt your head slightly to the side and avoid touching your face, but make sure that you are fidgeting with the loops on your jeans. You heard once that both overuse and underuse of body language are signs of lying and deception, so it is important to actively counter these. While she is talking, take a moment to appreciate the feel of your belt loop. It's rough, but not too rough. You could pull on it a little without worrying about it snapping. Nod your head along with what she is saying before going in for a hug. If possible, produce a single tear.

I remember how exciting summer was when I was a kid. I would just be eagerly waiting for school to end so that I could fly to some exotic location with my family for the summer. Or hang out with my friends every day. Or just lay around in bed or read, paint, draw, basically do whatever.
