Summer is officially here, meaning it is time to revamp your closet with long flowy blouses, denim shorts, and tank tops. To get summer chic all you have to do is pair classy with casual. Stripes are in, always as a summer must. Bright colors and ruffles are quintessential needs for summer and you can't forget the classic white T. It's a lot easier to get summer chic than you think! You can combine clothes that you wear year around with your more summer attire.

My go-to casual summer chic outfit is jeans paired with a blouse. These jeans you can wear year around. They are high-waisted so they hug your hips thus flattering your figure. The dark musty purple shirt is a great summer blouse that you can dress up or dress down. It's flowy and has an elegant neckline.

You can purchase a similar pair of jeans and top on Amazon.

To give this summer chic outfit a pop I'm wearing my white Adidas shoes. White, in my preference, is the best color to wear during summer. You feel free and fresh, and it always looks great when you're sporting your new tan! When I wake up in the late morning and feel like spending the day at the coffee shop this is the attire I wear, comfortable and casual yet chic and classy.

Buy a pair of Adidas for yourself on Amazon.

Like I said earlier, stripes are an always summer must. Stripes, no matter how you wear it, on a shirt, skirt, or pants, they give you a European flare which makes you feel foreign and well-traveled. This thin blue striped off the shoulder blouse has billowing ruffled sleeves that creates the perfect romantic shirt that looks good practically with anything. I paired it with a denim skirt that gives the outfit a true chicness.

Buy a shirt like this one on Amazon.

This top hugging dress with a free-flowing zebra striped skirt looks flattering on any body shape. Paired with sandals you're set for the classy casual atmosphere of Greece or the food market in town.

You can find a dress just like it on Amazon.

These are a few of my favorite summer shirts and dresses.

Rompers are very in and are classically chic. Not only are they versatile but are easy when it comes to packing. This beautiful white floral romper looks great on your darker sun-kissed skin and showcases your figure.

You can't get any chicer with a white off the shoulder French fringed shirt. You can easily add a choker to give your outfit more of an edge or a silk-chiffon scarf to bring out the Parisian within you.

Buy it here.

Crop tops are a summer essential. I've lately been obsessed with this off the shoulder crop top. It has a beautiful, intricate design which adds more style to your attire. It has sheer sleeves that drape down from your shoulders and frame your neckline. It's perfect for summer photoshoots and easy to stuff into your suitcase.

Try this similar look.

I love this outfit because of the white low cut ruffled shirt (it looks good with anything) and the ocean blue flared pants. I'm wearing it with pink nude heels. This is as chic as you can get for summer. My hint when it comes to colors for summer, look for pastels and keep an eye open for whites, creams, and blues. They look fantastic together.

You can buy this top and similar pants on Amazon, too!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
