Every year around September/October college kids start getting sick- its just the time of year. A lot of people are in a new environment and everyone's immune system has to adjust, in that process a lot of us end up with a cold. Since classes are super important in getting our degree, we need to manage it while we go to class!

1. Wash your hands, sanitize, REPEAT!

You really don't want to give people your cold, or for your cold to escalate into something worse! So stock up on some hand sanitizer and ALWAYS wash your hands in a public restroom.

2. Drink LOTS of water

Drink that bottle... or three. You need it.

3. Make sure you carry tissues!

Tissues are a must when you have a runny nose!

4. You're not "too strong" to take cold meds

The cold medicine really does help you get through the day!

5. Dont Forget to EAT.

Your energy is already low, so make sure you're eating to keep your energy up in class!

6. Gatorade is your new best friend

It will not only help with staying hydrating but it'll give you those electrolytes you need when you're sick!

7. Go to bed early

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends.
