Everyone knows the pros and cons to having a roommate in college. Sometimes it can be pure hell, and sometimes a blessing in disguise. At the end of the day, it’s important to remember not to take your roommate for granted. (we know, she can be a real bitch sometimes) So here are some things that might remind you of why you love your roommate
1. You come out of your room in the morning, only to find your roommate in her underwear watching “X-Files” on her laptop.
2. You go into the bathroom to pee and she comes in to brush her teeth or show you a funny video she found. (You wouldn't be surprised if she tried to brush your teeth too)
3. When you come home from classes and she’s halfway into the fridge eating your leftovers and says, “You want some of this food? I found it and it’s so good”
4.When you come back from a late night out and they want every detail. (We can’t afford cable, this is our entertainment)
5. You check your phone and they tagged you in at least a dozen twitter pictures that get shared to Facebook. #NSFW
6.You have memorized each other’s schedules and call them at approximately 11:01 saying, “Hey so your class ended at 11:00 and I was just making sure you’re okay and do you want to drink this vodka with me?”
7. You spend hours sitting around the table roasting each other and turning each other’s profile pictures into memes. (Me actually making fun of my roommate)
8. You have literally created a new language with phrases and words that you have to translate to guests when they come over.
9. She supports you in all major decisions. “Should I get the large pizza?" “Get the largest pizza”.
10. She is your every escape plan in awkward situations. “Yeah I would definitely love to do that but my roomie actually needs me right now so gotta go bye!”
11. She joins you on boring errands like grocery shopping, close shopping, trips to the corner store for beer, etc.
12. She's always looking to make you laugh at the expense of other people
13. You’ve danced erratically in the car and sang throwback songs at the top of your lungs. (Music of choice is usually a Disney soundtrack)
14. She keeps “the crazy” in control when it is necessary.
15. And lastly, she’s probably one of if not your best friend. Roommates are one of the greatest experiences you can get in college. Show your roommate a little love today!
