No one likes to go walking around town looking like they have a winter wonderland falling from their head, so take the proper responsibility and get rid of that flaky scalp! Don’t think that there is no way to beat your dry or simply irritated scalp. There are a lot of simple, cheap, and successful ways for anyone to overcome flaky scalps and embarrassing dandruff.

Here are 5 tips for a flaky scalp.

1. Coconut oil treatment

Coconut oil is one of the best methods to keep your hair and scalp moisturized and healthy. It’s completely natural and doesn’t mess up your hair or make your scalp feel oily and dirty. Coconut oil is like the savor of body health! It isn’t just for your food anymore. If you try adding some coconut oil to your hair each day, then you’ll notice your hair becoming more healthy and vibrant than before.

2. Constant hydration

Yes, drinking water can solve a butt load of problems. Drinking more water overall keeps your entire body hydrated and healthy. Drink more water each day and you’ll notice that dry scalp issues will be a thing of the past! It’s the easiest and most inexpensive method.

3. The right shampoos

Not every over-the-counter shampoo is meant to be used on any kind of scalp. So, before you decide being cheap is the best thing for your hair health, think again. Most shampoos $3 and under are going to dehydrate your scalp. Shampoos such as Head & Shoulders are pricey somewhat, but it definitely is worth it in the end. Don’t let your frugal-ness get the best of you and your flakes.

4. At-home treatments

There are tons of recipes you can find online that help moisturize your head, scalp, and hair for cheap. Mixing simplistic items from around your house seriously can make a big difference in your health. This is a really good option for those on a strict budget and trying to fix their dry scalp with a more natural remedy. It can’t get more natural than at-home treatments and fixes!

5. Vinegar

Lastly, and most smelly, there’s vinegar. If you use a treatment of regular household vinegar in your hair and do a quick rinse, then you’ll find that your scalp will slowly become more moisturized and healthy. Don’t do it too much or else, like anything else, it can lead to worse outcomes. But doing a vinegar treatment on your hair once a month at most can definitely cure a dry scalp.

So now, you will never again have to deal with being embarrassed by your dry scalp! There are no more worries because of these tricks. You’ll have a moisturized scalp and awesome hair before you even know it.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
