Heath Ledger: 10 Things I Hate About You

On March 31st, 1999 perhaps one of the most quintessential 90's movies came out: 10 Things I Hate About You. While there are many things to love about the movie, one thing sticks out in particular from the movie. When I say one thing, what I really mean is one person, Heath Ledger. Here is a list of 10 reasons Heath Ledger is simply perfect in this 90's classic.

1. Kicking it off with the obvious one: his smile

Throughout the entire movie, you can expect to have mini heart attacks every time he does one of his signature Heath smiles.

2. He's essentially a mind reader

At several points in the movie, you'll find Heath Ledger's character saying exactly what you're thinking.

3. He can sing (and it's perfect)

and added bonus he can dance.

Just when you honestly thought he was perfect in this movie, he goes and sings, and happens to have an amazing voice

4. His Australian Accent

If you are not obsessed with Australian accents before seeing this movie, you should definitely plan to be after you see it.

5. He's hilarious

Throughout the movie, Heath's character delivers different one liners that will make you laugh hysterically.

6. His hair

Heath manages to not only pull off long hair, but also the man bun.

7. He gives the best advice.

He teaches us that we shouldn't let anyone else make us feel inadequate or not deserving. Be confident in yourself.

8. He's ingenious.

Whether it's using a bunsen burner to light a cigarette or buying someone a guitar as a form of apology, Heath always manages to be creative.

9. He catches you when you fall

Both physically and metaphorically.

10. He goes on the best dates

Arguably one of the best scenes in the entire movie, Heath's character goes on a date where they throw water balloons filled with paint.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
