"American Horror Story" has become increasingly popular since the first season premiered. Its fandom has only grown with Lady Gaga starring in the newest season. I have been a diehard fan since I saw the first episode and I always will be, but the first season will always hold a special place in my heart. "Murder House" was full of the best plot twists and some of the saddest scenes of all time. Every season has plenty of plot twists and WTF moments, but none of the newer seasons have hit me in the feels quite as much as these scene did from the first season. So, here is a ranking of what I think are the saddest, most gut-wrenching moments from the first season. (**WARNING: contains spoilers from the first season!)

10. Chad and Patrick's death.

Chad (Zachary Quinto) was one of my favorite characters from this season, even though he was kind of an awful person. He was never light with his sass and I loved it. The saddest part of their gruesome death scene is after Tate (Evan Peters) throws the bodies into the basement and Chad reaches out for Patrick's (Teddy Sears) hand.

9. Violet tells her dad she's dead.

Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott) is pretty much completely clueless the entire season. He honestly doesn't even know his house is at all haunted until the end of the second to last episode. He tries to be a good father and husband, but he never pays attention to everything that goes on around him. This, however, does not diminish the pain in his eyes when Violet tells him she's dead.

8. Adelaide's death.

Adelaide Langdon (Jamie Brewer) was the sweetest soul in the world and was universally loved in this season. She was known for her line: "You're going to die in there." All she wanted was to be a pretty girl and it ended up killing her. Watching Constance (Jessica Lange) hold Addie in her arms and try to carry her to the lawn of the house is truly heart-wrenching.

7. Constance talking to Addie through a medium.

After Adelaide dies, Constance talks to her friend and psychic, Billie Dean Howard (Sara Paulson). Constance tells Billie she has one last thing to say to Addie and tells her how proud she was of her and how beautiful Constance thinks she is. Addie, though Billie, tells her mother that she should've said that when she was alive. Just the idea of a mother having to tell her daughter goodbye and hope she'd forgive her in the afterlife for being a terrible mother is sad enough, but Jessica Lange's performance makes it all the more painful to watch. Even Billie Dean cries.

6. Moira visiting her mother on Halloween.

On Halloween, the spirits of the house are allowed to leave and go wherever they please. Moira (Frances Conroy) visits her mother in the hospital and actually helps her mother let go by unplugging her machine. When her mother passes, her soul appears behind Moira and tells her to come with her. She doesn't know Moira is trapped and can't cross over. Watching her cry and tell her mother she wants to but she can't gets me every time.

5. Violet tells her mom to let go.

Near the very end of the season, Vivien (Connie Britton) gives birth to her twins. They have no time to get to the hospital, so she's forced to have a home birth which leads to her death. As she's lying on the table, nearly unconscious, Ben is talking to Vivien, telling her to hold on, but then she sees Violet, who tells her to let go so they can be together and Vivien finally lets go.

4. School Massacre/Tate's death.

There is a lot of controversy surrounding Tate's (Evan Peters) high school shooting massacre in that people don't think it should have been praised the way it was and seemed to hit too close to home. It was a disturbing scene and gave the audience a chance to see what really happened to Tate. Even knowing he's a murdering psychopath, I still can't help but love him. Which is why his death is still so tragic to me.

3. Violet breaks up with Tate.

In the last episode of the season, Violet finds out about everything that Tate has done, like raping her mother and murdering a lot of people. Although she loves him, she knows he needs to be punished for what he did. I cried my heart out when she tells him "Go away!"

2. Moira watches Ben build a gazebo over her body.

This scene is unbelievably heartbreaking. Moira is a sweet person, and I felt bad for her the whole season. When Ben buries Hayden (Kate Mara) and covers it up with a new gazebo, Moira stands in the upstairs window, crying, completely helpless. Even worse, Constance taunts Moira while she watches. The song in the background ("For Everything a Reason"--Carina Round) sets the mood and creeps its way into your heart to make the scene that much sadder.

1. Violet finds out she's dead.

Not only was this one of the biggest plot twists in this season, it was also the absolute saddest scene. Violet was so young and sweet; she didn't really want to kill herself. She was just sad and confused. Tate tried his hardest to save her but in the end, he couldn't. He kept the truth from her so she wouldn't be sad because he loves her so much. When she realizes the truth and then watching Tate try so hard to save her, it makes my heart really hurt. I don't ever think I've cried so hard at television show.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
