Ah, finals week.

A week spent holed up in any room that grants you WiFi, drowning your insides with caffeine and experimenting every questionable snack in that nearby vending machine.

If you’re like me, it’s easy to let the stress of finals week consume you. I often find myself saying, “I don’t have time …” even to necessities like eating, hydrating, sleeping.

What many students fail to realize is that by not providing their bodies with proper nutrients, they're only making things harder on themselves. Healthy snacks and lots of water not only fuels your body but also reduces stress and improves productivity.

Here are some snacks you should try this finals week that are small enough to fit in your backpack.

1. Banana chocolate chip energy bites.

2. Chocolate dipped peanut butter pretzels.

3. Apple, peanut butter, and granola stacks.

4. Toasted Almonds

5. Breakfast Taquitos

6. Frozen Yogurt Berry Cubes

7. Turkey Pinwheels

8. Avocado Toast

9. Loaded Deviled Eggs

10. Veggies and Hummus

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
