Having Us In Mind

Even when we didn't know Christ, He had us in mind!

Having Us In Mind

Who is on your mind right now?

Something the Lord has revealed to me recently is that, when we aren't even thinking about it, He has us on His mind. Everything we do is important: every thought and every action. Our Father cares about His children and their well-being.

He is always looking out for us! Sometimes we don't need to do anything but let Him take care of everything. As Ephesians 3:20-21 reads, "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Previously in this passage, Paul writes about how our Father longs for a relationship with us, His children. Matthew 6:33-34 adds, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." Father wants us to let Him take care of everything, not even concerned about tomorrow's worries. Michael Todd, in a faith series, says, "When she heard her father say [a promise], she completely trusted it… We hope God will do it, but we don't believe He will." He wants us to dwell in His faithful promises and not the fleeting promises of the world. He just wants to know you!

He has us in mind!

This dawned on me over my Christmas break from college. I had baked some goodies and the day I wanted to deliver them somewhere, I had a thought: "hmm… They aren't even expecting anything. They don't even know I'm coming, yet I have them in mind." LIGHTBULB! From the Old Testament, we are informed from prophets to be expectant of a Savior! We already knew Jesus was coming based on the Old Testament, and He had us in mind when He came in the New Testament, in order to atone for our wretched lives. Even when we didn't know Christ, He had us in mind!

PRAISE THE LORD!!

All this said, give some thanks to your Savior for having Y O U in mind, and let Him take care of you!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
